Modeled after elementals introduced in Cataclysm. I don't remember to use it much in Resto... lol Just like the Tree form for druid.
My Opinion
I think the totem changes are pretty good. You don't lose the buffs that you gained when dropping totems. They are now passive buffs depending on the spec you are in. I do find myself looking for the Call of Elements button though. LMAO So I will continue to love my Shammy as much as I do. :) The only thing that I am upset about is Cleanse Spirit now has a 8 sec cd. If they are adding a cd to cc spells used in pvp why didn't they add one to Purge?
If you find yourself missing the totem bar as much as I do there is a great addon called FloTotem Bar. The only thing I find wrong with this addon is that it is hard to get them to stay where you put them. The solution is to just leave them where they appear automatically.
Healing - Shaman healing is still my fav class to heal with.
DPS - I love both DPS specs. I want to have a enhancement panda Shaman so bad lol I love the way they move. If you are heal/dps and hate having a lot of gear taking up space in your bags, elemental is the way to go. You can still do a lot of damage even in your heal gear.
Shaman General Changes
-You no longer summon 4 totems at once
-Totems are now situational. Some you have to spec for.
-Now have buffs for the totems that were lost.
+ Burning Wrath (doesn't stack with Arcane Brilliance or Dark Intent)
+ Grace of the Air (doesn't stack with Blessing of Might, Roar of Courage, Spirit Beast Blessing)
+ Elemental Oath (doesn't stack with Moonkin Aura or Shadowform)
-Cleanse Spirit now has a 8 sec cd. :( Not happy about this! Had no cd before.
-Wind Sheer now has a 12 sec cd
-Many things you had to spec for or use a regnant for are now passive.
-Water Breathing seems to be gone.
Don't worry! All of the passive abilities that were in the talent tree are now passive abilities that you learn as you lvl! For better detailed information view this page.
Changes for Restoration
-Healing Stream Totem now only heals the most injured party member instead of everyone and has a 15 sec duration.
-I highly recommend specing for Healing Tide Totem.
Changes for Elemental
-Instead of just refreshing the cd on Lava Burst, Lava Surge also now makes it an instant cast! Awesome! :)
Changes for Enhancement
Everything is pretty much the same.
-No longer have access to Lava Burst.
-Primal Strike is gone.
